Objective:
Lazuraxe is a DC-based, custom axe creator, that focuses on creating one-of-a-kind axes out of refurbished axe heads and thoughtful custom elements. Lazuraxe prides itself on making functional art. This new company needed a new logo and collateral that creates a cohesive presence and represents the unique services offered.

There were three really important elements that stood out to me about this company that I wanted to focus on in its branding. One the process and customization. I felt it was important to bring the audience in and feel like they were there helping every step of the way, which would help build value. Also by bringing the audience in, I felt it gave the audience more stock in this small company, leveraging the idea of supporting small business. Two, its "Made in DC" pride. DC has a huge maker community that I felt would be important to leverage in regards to building a presence. The third is the idea of taking this unlikely tool and turning it into a functional art. I felt it was important to showcase the beautiful work in normal settings as well as unlikely settings further perpetuating and embracing the paradox of these axes.
